Utopia's Swingers' Guidelines - So You Have More Fun..
The Golden Rule: "NO means NO!" Not Maybe...
Anyone, including yourself, may say "No" at any time, for any reason, without further explanation. If youre in a situation that makes you uncomfortable, just say so - but be polite don't ruin your night. Never jeopardise your relationship, or the fun to be had with the life-style and never even consider doing anything against your will. Dont submit to guilt or pressure - swinging is meant to be fun. Keep it that way. Flirting is also fun, and if that's all you want to do that's fine. Most importantly, be honest, and be up-front about what you're into, you're likes and dislikes. This should avoid any and all misunderstandings.
With new friends, always be kind and non-judgemental - its the best way to proceed. If you dont want to play when you first meet just say so, but remember you may reconsider and wish to party with them later - it's happened many times. So always keep your options open.
Everyone's been rejected at some time. If you have to do it, please be kind. If it happens to you don't take it personally. No-one fancies everybody. Just because someone is at a Swing Party, doesn't mean they have to swing with you. Keep your conversations upbeat and light and talk to as many people as you can. Who knows? The person who passes up the opportunity today, may want to swing with you next time!
Get to know your likes and dislikes, boundaries and strengths, and stick to them if you're new to the Scene. Encourage others in their explorations. Keep relationships friendly and pleasant. Always propose, never impose! Swingers 'feel' their way through encounters in more ways than one. If things dont feel right, they probobly aren't - so just take a break for a while.
Deal with jealousy head-on. Its a normal human reaction. Learn what triggers jealousy in yourself and in your partner. Then work things out. This may mean modifying certain activities, curtailing others or finding new means of sexual expression. Festering jealousies are destructive. Tell each other how you feel straight away - do it quietly - and don't leave it 'til your driving home.
Let your partner know that he or she is always your Number One! Take time to talk to them. Be generous with a kiss and a smile. Check on each other often, so that you both feel safe and secure. Always arrive together - always leave together!
Use common sense and courtesy when youre at Utopia. Be friendly, kind and thoughtful with a smile. Friendliness is contagious. Remember, the more people you make the effort to talk to, the more friends you'll make and maybe get to play with.
Respect the guidelines or boundries that your partner and play- friends set. Make your own wishes and desires clear before you start to play. There should be no surprises! If youre 'Bi', for instance, ask if the couple or single youre with has a similar interest. Likewise, if you really object to 'oral sex' or 'bondage', bring it up for discussion. Once everyone is comfortable with the plan, let the games begin!
Before, during and after you party, pay close attention to body language. Theres more to human interaction than just sexual signals, but thats definitely part of the picture. Enhance your experience by considering the complete person. Learn to read the signs and youll pick up on what makes your partner or new friends comfortable, happy, excited, and ultimately, satisfied.
DISCRETION IS PARAMOUNT ON THE SWING SCENE! Who you see, what you see and what you and everyone else does, MUST remain PRIVATE. Never, never discuss details with anyone not intimately involved. Promoting the lifestyle is wonderful. Publicising it is simply unforgivable.

Utopia is great don't be misled the cave are great to cool down in, the pool and spa are clean and warm, the couples room is warm and clean the new management have done much to improve the club, it's worth the money, and getting better, staff are helpfull and not in your face unlike other clubs, shame they can't vet some of the fat ugly fuckers out but hey everyone deserves a shag perhaps they are the wingeing ones who moan about not being approached. utopia keep up the good work see you soon G & J

went to utopia weekend just gone and what a turn around the place is now under new management and is being run a lot better.
i am so glad that we went back and we shall be going on a lot more regular basis

what a brill place staff so very friendly bar staff dance behind bar and get people dancing and enjoyin themselves reception staff were very helpfull and dismissed any fears we had. will be going back again on a regular basis we are a young good lookin couple in our early twenties so come and join us for some hot sexy fun in the fab swimming pool

We are new to swinging and have only visited Utopia twice, first time on a Saturday night singles and couples and then on a Friday night with couples only
Mixed night was our first night, we were given a tour by a wonderful lady who dispelled our fears (a little) and then off we went, we had a great night with no pressure on us.
Second visit was on a Friday couples only, place filled up at 10pm and we sat around for a couple of hours taking it all in, got changed in to towels and ventured around the place, chatted to a few nice couples and watched the fun. Went in the pool for an hour and there were about 15 couples all having fun, ventured down the caves which was an eye opener, then went into the play room, so much going on it was hard to see where one body started and one ended, joined in a little and felt very safe.
Decided to write this as there seems to be a few negatives on here, we can only speak as we find but the following is 100%
The place was immaculate clean, very friendly, full of a great mix of ages and sizes (real people), very exiting, a great way to get in to swinging without feeling to awkward.
We will be going back

We have been going to Utopia off and on now for a couple of years and have found it to be still the most upmarket club we have visited. The facilities are excellent but we have become concerned lately at the increase in the number of soft swingers/watchers there who denegrate the atmosphere for genuine swingers. Full marks to the staff for trying to reverse this trend by not allowing fully clothed watchers into the pool and play areas, particularly when they just stand and gorp.
We went last two Fridays ago and feel that this is still the best club for facilities and quality of facilities we have visited but we still feel that more could be done to improve the amount of playing by keeping the number of soft swingers to a minimum.

We have been regular visitors to utopia for over a year now,the club was once great very pleasent you could wonder freely though out the club and join in when and where you felt comfortable, NOT NOW IT SEEMS, now if you want to go into the play rooms you have to be striped down to a towel BEFORE you enter the room if you like to stay dresses which we no many of you lady do,there is only one normally out of order loo you ALL have to use and you are very restricted to where you can and can not go, In our opinion the club is now very poor and seems as though its geared to the hardend swingers only, Many of our friends agree with us and none of them or us will be going back again unless its put back to how it once was, shame but true a great relaxing club has gone. We have met many couples who was regulars of utopia over in stoke at "Atlantis" who have now chosen this venue as there regular club, come on Utopia put things back and give your customers the freedom they want before they all drift away !!!!

We went last friday 13.2.06. and we feel strong enough to post this review.
We have been members since the opening night and we have seen this club change constantly.
We took a new couple on friday and we left inside an hour.
To be honest the lady on the door had the attitude of couldn't care less, our new friends were stung so much with the new joining fee and entry fee and locker key fee, (65) we both had to leave to get cash from the cash point to buy a drink.
The seating is now so sparse that there are no social areas to sit next to friends, there are no guided tours unless you get your kit off and do it in a towel. Great intro for first timers who have made an effort to dress up for a night out.
A pool table is shoved in your face amongst the only area you can talk away from the music.
In all since the opening night this has to be the worst we have seen it.
We will not be returning, the prices are a rip off and the layout has gone from acceptable with great potential to, dirty revolting and cheap. (Lack of ashtrays meant the floor was strewn with rubbish for people in bare foot to walk on)
we have been to clubs all over the uk and we would now have to put this club in the bottom 10%
Sorry but if people do not speak their minds then things will not improve. If you accept poor standards and being ripped off then regulars will leave and new people to this lifestyle will never return.
Remember your best custom is your returning custom.
Luckily we were able to take them to xtasia (Only because the lady of the new couple didn't want to wear a towel or we would of gone to chameleons) and they saw how people should be treated.
Free membership, 10 entry and pleasent staff who give a guided tour without telling you to strip. Even on a quiet singles night they enjoyed it.
Sorry, but to us we have lost a choice of where to go on a night out. It will be a long time before we venture back to Utopia.

our first and only club, we love it,the caves are great lovely and cool great for a 4some or 6some we love to stand in the doorway for people to see. the staff are really friendly, we found it real easy to meet other people.
pool.spa.showers impecably clean, can't imagine anywhere being better, Gary & Jane

We went to this Utopia because it looked so impressive from the website.
And to be honest as a youngish couple we had a fab time and it looks as impressive as it does on there site too.
It has a lot of positives that make it unique from other clubs i.e. like swimming pool, sauna, steam room etc etc.
The staff there are excellent and are very friendly and this is also a very positive point.
The play rooms are good, and again they have something slightly different called caves which perhaps needed a bit of light music or something to make it feel more comfortable. But impressive idea though and different.
Ok now for the negative side of what we found as a couple. The week before we went our friends that went happened to make a comment it is really hard to mingle there in comparison to where we normally go. It didnt sink in until we got there why that maybe. On arrival after the first 3 hours that was exactly what we thought as well. The general layout is why,
Having been to a couple of other places the 4 of us that went agreed that the actual downstairs layout makes it hard to naturally get chatting with people like you can in other clubs. Ie the seats go 2x2x2x2 all around the outside then you have music blearing.
This was a serious issue because when you actually stand near the bar area you and you see couples ALL around the outside by themselves you find yourself standing there thinking mmmmmmmm.
We not exactly unconfident people but we found even moving to the chill out area the layout kinda makes it darn hard to chat naturally to people.
Apart from the poor layout it is an excellent looking club and the rooms are great.

We have been to Utopia a few times now and have to say the pool area and bar are fun and relaxing places.
Still think the "cave " area is a bit dingy and cold and a bit more money/thought should be spent on the decor in the rooms upstairs, they are a bit like a 1 star B&B.
But that aside, Saturday nights are in our opinion good.....often busy..the full car park was a guide of things to come...a mixed age group and a fun time always had.

On having just drove past the place, to go to a local, we were very impressed. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome although not asked for any ID (is this the same for single guys? Are they not vetted for SE nights?) despite it being our first time. We went with another couple who showed us round the place. It was quite well set out although the cave area was a bit tacky. The bar staff were lovely and always smiling. The average age was quite high (we are a mid 20's couple) it felt like being in a place of our parents age group. There was also too many single men, although we have to say that we didn't get hassled by any of them. The play rooms were fun and the swing was excellent. Overall we would say the venue and staff are an 8 out of 10 but the actaul night was about a 5 out of 10. We would go again but maybe only on a couples night as the single men roaming round in towels really put us off!!

we have been going to Utopia on a regular basis since it opened, yes there where teething problems and occsionally there still are some ~ however each time we go we see new improvements ~ the wicker seating was replaced ~ the intimate cave area improved ~ the gym replaced with a new play room ~ more play rooms opened upstairs ~ the buffet is now excellent ~ the disco is fun ~ the dance pole a much needed acquisition is great fun and so on
Thanks to Andy and Ian who have worked hard to make the improvements and continue to run a great and welcoming club we shall continue to be regulars even forsaking our beloved chameleons to go there lol

a bit of a drive to get here .. just off J12 of the M6 then another 5 minutes ..
good carpark . nice area.. a must to get your drinks before you get near as there are no shops around ..
on arrival you are supplied locked keys and towels in case you wish to use the pool or jacuzzi .. there is no obligation to wear towels .
the whole place is like a converted stately home , very posh..
the FULL SIZE pool is so clean and warm it is lovely . also they have a steam room and sauna and a floatation chamber of all things !! also a double sunbed !! swing while getting a suntan :-) .. must not forget the jacuzii .. been in a few but this one bubbles so strongley it was an experiance ..
this place is must try ..
a very new club with very freindly staff and management .
i'm told that when they 1st opened they recived a few bad reviews due to the pool being cold .. certainly is not now

Visited Utopia last friday, we were not impressed with lay-out. Having a swim and then trying to fit into a broom-cupboard is not our idea of a night out. We will stick to Xtasia in future, a really busy swinging club in all ways.

M & d early 30's - regulars at Xtasia and Fever and a few others...
We checked out Utopia a couple of weeks ago on a SE 'sleep over' party (open til 10am!). Liked the club - nice layout with lots of play areas which are all nicely lit (unlike Xtasia where the play areas are too dark for out preference really although we do love that club!). In reply to the person that said the labyrinth area booths wouldn't fit more than 2 people trust me they do and we weren't the only ones making use of them!
Crowd was up for it and friendly - very mixed ages and styles etc similar to Xtasia really (in fact met a few familiar faces!).
The club has a lot of potential and we think it's going to be one to keep an eye on - especially since Friday night is couples only! So if you fancy a Friday night out check it out.
Main improvements we'd like to see - dancefloor should always be rocking so DJ could learn a bit from the fact that no-one danced to the 'hits from the 50's/60's' section - not even people who were alive then! Also, a dancepole or two would be good although we were told this was planned and should be happening soon...
Pretty sure we'll go again sometime on a Friday...

We visited last night (9/04/04) for the first time and had a fantastic time.
Downstairs is v.nice with the pool area the highlight. The staff were polite and friendly, but they are still having a few teething problems (bar is a bit disorganised).
Upstairs is still in need of renovation, but is open to use.
We will be visiting again.

Hi, we went to the club on Friday the 17th (couples only) and had a great time!!

Pool & Jacuzzi very clean and "very HOT!!!" as the club has only been open a month teathing problems are more than expected, which we are pretty sure have been cleared up,

Easy to find on the A5, about 5mins down the A5 once you have left the M6,(J12)

Staff very friendly as are the owners Sandy & Kevin, the decor is fantastic!!

To sum up Utopias we would say its a cut above the rest and have made this our main venue, we are sure that this will be one of the top venues to go once more couples have been,

We have noticed that reviews by couples are varried mostly down to individual tastes and age differences, as a couple in our early thirties we would say check it out!!

We attended on the opening night, fine location and building.Unfortunately did not live up to any expectations having viewed the web site:
1.Swimming pool, cold and dirty.
2.Jacuzzi, cold quite small.
3.Steam room small.
4.Sauna roomy,that was the plus.
One main play room for couples, the rooms in the cave part far to small for any more than two persons.
Considering it was the opening night, no apparent thought had gone into making it a succesful night, there was no where to have a dance, lighting was awful as was the seating.
Considering it was the first night and Valentines ,maybe some theme may have helped.
I'm sorry for being so negative but there were a few disappointed people, regular visitors to like clubs, who departed after a short period of time to venture elsewhere so they did not waste their night out.
Would not put it on the recommended list to friends at all.
Needs a lot more atmosphere/work before people will keep returning on a regular basis.

After hearing of this new club opening up we hunted the web and found a very good well developed website with good directions to get there. got in touch and asked a few questions over the phone they were only too pleased to answer and thought ok we will have a look when its quiet so we can look at the place and see what the staff decor and everything is like without the madding crowd. They opened on the saturday night and we popped in on the sunday. It is really easy to find on the A5 between the M6 J12 and Telford. The parking is good and it is monitored from the building too as well as a club guard who wanders the inside and outside of the place. The staff were friendly right from the get go. The tour of the place was insitive and we were told the house rules. you can go ala health spa if you want or you can stay in your best bib and tucker. its really up to you if you want to use the wet areas it would be best to get changed out o your finery. there is pleanty of room to get around and theres plenty of places to go, if you fancy a chill out the steam sauna and jacuzzi are great and theres no problem having fun by the pool. We have decided to go back and try out a friday night when its couples only. as we are not fans of the single guy scene but while we were there on the sunday the ones who were there were very respectfull and left us alone to chat with a few friends who we found there enjoying the comfort and decor. If your up for a nice chill out night in beatiful surroundings we say check it out.
