  Unsurprisingly this venue is now closed.

Here's an example why:
We enquired about the "resort" and facilities etc during the "Swinger's Month," and thought it sounded nice, so we went ahead and booked and paid our $100 deposit.
Not long after we enquired about doing a photo shoot while we were there with other consenting adults. The response was nothing short of astounding - accusations of not being able to read (it was because I read the T&C that I enquired!), insults about my intelligence level etc. The owner then began to effectively stalk us on the internet, and even (not very cleverly), revealed my real name on an anonymous forum.
I promptly cancelled our booking told him to shove his deposit up his arse, and we went to Desire Resort and Spa in Cancun instead.

  I can only suggest that ANYONE thinking of going here should do research especially at the Trip-advisor, here are reviews that truly reflect the place, the owners and the terrible state of the place. Having been there and witnessed first and second hand the treatment of "guests" and the way guest are thrown out with NO refund (all monies paid in advance) I can only say do your research.

  Considering we've paid $150 plus just to attend a swingers event what The White Cockatoo offers is amazing value with accommodation and free drinks all inclusive. We satyed for their 1st Adults Only month in March 2009 and have booked to return in March 2010 - It was that good! Lovely surroundings, Great people (for the most part excepting the usual fools these deals sometimes attract but full credit to the owners for taking care of them quick smart!), and everything we could want or need for an adventure away from home. Highly Recommended!
