We decided to drive up to Fort Myers to try out the new Play Palace location. We were pretty excited because the club advertised 4000 sq. ft of party place, well that was bogus. The club has a little room behind the main bar which is the Reserve Bar, which you must enter by the back. We paid our membership and admission and walked in and stayed for about an hour as it was pretty boring. We did meet a couple of nice people who stated they felt the same way and would not come back. We sat at the bar and talked to the bartender who was very friendly and sexy. We really did not feel it was the most private place to go, because everybody going into the main straight bar could see people going in the back door which is the swingers part. We were also dissappointed because we did notice alot of people signed up for the event and when we arrived it was not that crowded, and we did hear from some of the crowd that it just recently opened and might take awhile to get going. Might go back in the future if it gets better.

We went to check out the new location and were disappointed. It is the back area of a cigar bar and we do not smoke ironically. One bathroom with a line and the supposed "VIP" room is just a small room with some seating. There were about 25 people there and it seemed crowded to us. We talked to some nice people and the bartender was friendly, but we could have done that anywhere. We were confused going in because the main bar is open to the public and we were told by the bouncer that we had to walk around back. This is not very private if you ask us. Let us know when you have a club of your own and are open more than 2 nights a month and we will be back.

My wife and I attended the first party at the new place and absolutely loved it. It was very well done and a big improvement. Thank you for finally making this move. We haven't attended in a couple of years because the other place did nothing for us. We look forward to attending many parties at this new and improved place. The leather couches created a very warm and friendly atmostphere and the VIP room was decorated very nice. The bartender was very friendly and the drink prices were very reasonable. We can't wait to attend the grand re opening party in April with all our friends. Thank you for making this improvement.

We attended the slumber party this past weekend and there were alot of hot couples in attendance and alot of sexy playing going on. It was a huge turnon to be able to watch that. My wife and I love going and have made alot of great friends there. Very friendly atomosphere and the people are not snobish at all. We can't wait to attend this years Halloween party. We've been told this is a great party with alot of couples. Thanks for providing us with a safe environment to unleash our desires and meeting new people who share the same interest. Traveling to the east coast gets very expensive after awhile. Keep up the great work. See you soon

This club in the past has been alot of fun. You have to be willing to mingle otherwise you will sit in corner. DJ is ok music tends to get too load and drink are average. Crowds are hit or miss, some weeks are buzzy some are just the owners and a few regulars. Try it you might like it.

We visited this establishment for the first time last Sat with no expectations and no idea of what we'd find. We were very pleasantly suprised! Upon signing for our membership, the door staff introduced himself and made sure we were introduced to several couples in attendance as well as the owners. Everyone we spoke to made us feel very welcome. The music and DJ were great, the service was great, all in all we had a wonderful evening! We WILL be returning as soon as possible. Title: reviews or debate?

With it being a little tough for a single guy, I usually check the website and read reviews of a new place I plan to attend when I travel. I was in the area over the weekend and decided not to go here based on what I have read. Is this a review page, a forum or a debate? Bad reviews happen everywhere so just let it go. It appears that whenever someone has a bad review, they are slammed by appears to be the owners or affilliates. That does not make a friendly atmosphere from the jump. With all the negativity on this page alone, why would I want to go see it in person? Maybe I will check it out next time I am in town if you are still around. I decided to go elsewhere and had a great time.

we have always had a great time whenever we go there. one thing we learned was the people that dont have a good time when they go out is they dont do anything to actually have a good time. sitting at the bar and hoping someone will start a conversation with them instead of the other way around.you must be proactive if you want any success in the lifestyle.if you are open it will show and the sky is the limit. we read all the negitive comments in here and they simply are NOT true. there is someone trying to make the club look like its the worst place when in actually its the only real club within many miles.We say we should all of us SWFlorida residents support the club that was so gracious enough to put a place together for us all to enjoy, meet and mingle. after all they were the first to do it and still goin strong!

We had the pleasure of visiting this club Saturday night and had an incredible time. We met some of the hottest and friendliest couples and look forward to extending those friendships. When we walked in we were greeted by the hostess of the party who was very sweet and even walked us around and introduced us to other couples. Before the night was over we had met several wonderful couples. I had a special request for the DJ and he politely said "I'll be happy to play that for you". We don't know what all the negativity is or why anyone would have anything bad to say about this club. It was a great experience for both of us and we will be making the trip to visit this club again soon. We KNOW WHO YOU ARE.......GO TO FT LAUDERDALE and spend 100's of dollars vs. a $20 bill.......TWO couples the entire night were playing pool....so you don't know what you are talking about. The DJ played EVERY REQUEST that was asked of him. If you are going to talk SHIT about the CLUB at least be accurate. Not ONE PERSON at the party Saturday night had FLIP FLOPS on so you must have been at the WRONG PARTY......Less than friendly staff is TOTALLY UNTRUE. You were NOT THERE. The DJ NEVER left the DJ booth all night long. Those that continue to talk shit about SWFLPP parties are kidding themselves and jealous. If you are REALLY that unsatisfied with the parties why not have the balls to say you wanted your money back or express your dissatisfaction at the party? WHY??? Because you were NEVER THERE!!! The club is a total waste of time. The crows is not sociable, the dress code is flip flops, jeans and sneaker. If you dress up at all you are out of place. A lot of wannabe swingers there, we do not mind newcomers or people that just want to party. But come to this club and you will meet a less than friendly staff, sub par music and a crowd just playing pool. No one even tries to dance and forget asking the DJ to play something. Just plugs in some music and he's gone. You can do better. Take the time, go to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or Tampa.

WOWWWWWWWW is all we can say this morning. We attended SWFLPP for our first time last night and were VERY impressed. The host and hostess were extremely helpful and introduced us to several other couples. The crowd was VERY sexy and most all the women were wearing Micro Mini skirts. VERY VERY HOT! The bartender is a HOTTIE and mingles and flirts very well with the group. We enjoyed several games of pool and met several couples. We are really looking forward to partying with this group again and again. We have found a new home for our Saturday nights. GREAT JOB SWFLPP! We made some great new friends AND HAD A GREAT TIME.

We find it very entertaining that other venues send cronies out to check out how we manage to continue to bring in the HOTTEST couples in SWFlorida and the volume of people that attend. We KNOW who you are and why you were there. It's sad that people have to bash other clubs in order to feel as though they have gained something. We don't bash other venues or parties in the area and quite frankly we promote that there is a place for everyone. There are several opportunities in Lee County for couples to choose from and they do just that. Try dressing more appropriate for the evening and being more sociable and perhaps you would be approachable. It's not the fault of the venue or the party that you presented yourself the way you did and chose to distance yourself from the group. Good luck in your search to find your niche.

We always meet someone when we go and find it to be the HOT spot in town. Been to the "other" places and there is no comparing the very different crowds that those wannabees draw. PlayPalace does a much better job of hosting parties and thinks outside the box. Upscale parties with Upscale people are where we like to party. We will support those who support us.

"All" of the negitive reviews are from the same LAME person that thinks a house party is a on premise club.WE ALL KNOW WHO LMAO. Well if you dont care what the people look like (jenny craig is an understatement)have at it. SWFLPP is a REAL club with very real and sexy couples!! I have visited 5 other clubs around the state and this is a fine place for lifestylers to go and meet good people.DJ? they dont have a DJ.......Like i said,the neg reviews are BULLSHIT.if they went they would have known. We enjoy the club, but dont be afraid to approach people, we all go to meet new friends, so if you see what you like, just let them know. Chances are that the sexy couple at the Bar are new, and just a bit shy, and remember we are all there to meet new people.

There is enough bad reviews from many different people on here that proves this club sucks. We went there a year ago and it was lame then and still is now (from what we hear). Very cliquey. No one dresses sexy. I've seen hotter outfits at church or at Lazy lizard. No one dances. I think they hire or have a resident stripper who goes out there every once in a while and tries to get things going, but the DJ sucks so bad and the crowd is so lame that nothing happens. I don't know why they don't change their tune over there.

We don't even know why they call this a club. It is basically a dive bar and the few times we have been there there has never been more than 6 to 10 people. It is very cliquish and not very friendly. We are friendly people that go to alot of the clubs on the east coast and north as well, so we are always ready to mingle, but SWF Play Palace is not a place where we would return.

The good thing is that there is the gay bar next door to it and it really is fun with alot of friendly people and actually met more couples there.

We are from the area and always wish that SWF Play Palace would be a good venue, but we have always been dissapointed.

We recommend that you dont waste your money, have a house party and actually have fun or just go to a regualar dive bar. SWFPP is not much more.

Why is it that we were at the SAME party and met some WONDERFUL couples and had an incredible time? Granted it was a slower night but with Fantasy Fest, Homecoming AND Swingfest all the same night no one expected that there would be a huge crowd there. Those that were there went out of there way to make sure everyone was comfortable though. Even bought Pizza for the entire group. It's a shame that you couldn't have mingled with the couples that were there and had a great time. There were several couples even enjoying some Girl on Girl fun. Sorry you didn't enjoy yourselves but it's not fair to judge the party on a weekend with so many other activites going on. If you want to come back out we are SURE that the hosts of the party would WELCOME you and even comp you in to make it right for you.........We ALWAYS have a great time at the parties and meet new couples.......FUN IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT........

Title: High Expectations... Low Payoff

First let me say that my wife and I had sky high expectations and were overly optimistic despite some disparaging comments we'd read. We figured "Hey, give it a shot!" right? Well the place was basically a dive. And although the website says:

"We discourage 'cliques' and urge all our members to meet the new members that join each week. We think you will find the friendliest people in SWFlorida here at 'SWFLPlayPalace'."

That was the absolute last thing that happened. No one said a word to us. We stood there for two hours smiling like idiots trying to look somewhat social even as much as when anything remotely "publically funny" happened that garnered a response from folks nearby we even made passing comments to them in the hopes of getting a simple "Hey you're new right?" but nothing.

Sadly we're extremely disappointed and don't think we will be going back there. Again high hopes and expectations but the place fell extremely short.

On the plus side the bar tender made a great Long Island Ice Tea, a shame that was the highlight of my evening.

I like it. Nice change from the usual scene.
If you dont have an incredible time there you wont anywhere.
If your not fun, thats YOUR fault.I hooked up with a local couple and we did what we went there for.Wore each other OUT!
All the negative talk is pure bullshit from people that have their heads up their ass (or some ones ass). Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.not perfect,but what is? I will go again.thanks for the variety.

Obviously the previous poster doesn't know how to read the website because it clearly states that SWFLPlayPalace is "OFF PREMISE". This is a typical bar scene that MANY locals feel VERY comfortable at and frequent every week. The club is TOTALLY PRIVATE and reserved for EXCLUSIVE members only. The cover charge of $20 is MORE than fair for any club whether it be vanilla or lifestyle. Name another LIFESTYLE club that has a cover as reasonable as thiers. Perhaps you belong on the east coast paying $100's of dollars to get the quality and service you expect. SWFLPlayPalace is HOME to many regulars including ourselves that go there every Saturday night and have met a variety of couples that have become great friends. Dar and Joe have been hosting parties in the same location for SIX YEARS and they will be there for years to come. Perhaps your expectations are OUT THERE for a $20 bill. We will continue to attend the club every Saturday night and will continue to promote the parties to all our friends as a safe and comfortable atmosphere for like-minded people. No it's not a TajMahal like you expected. I drive a very expensive vehicle and have never in 6 years had a problem. Perhaps you didn't see the "SECURITY" that was monitoring the parking lot but it is very well lit and monitored. If you would have read the advertisement you would have seen that drinks were two for one until 10:00. Unlike most clubs that pour a one ounce drink the drinks at these parties are a GREAT deal for the money. What part of PRIVATE PARTY couldn't you read on the door? NO VANILLA'S are EVER permitted to attend these parties. We love Joe and Dar and the effort that they have put into bringing something closer to home so that we don't have to pay the OUTRAGEOUS prices of the clubs on the east coast. Good luck in finding someplace that meets your expectation for a $20 bill.......I don't know who you are (although I'm sure I know who sent you) but you obviously didn't take the time to introduce yourselves to us because we would have shown you a good time. Then there are those couples that choose to sit at the bar and not be sociable with anyone then complain. Can't please everyone but Joe and Dar sure do try. Keep up the GREAT work Joe and Dar and we'll see you Saturday!

This was totally off premesis, but a couple who had been there before said that even at the so called "after parties" there was sometimes nothing going on but conversation. Owner was introduced but barely said hello and couldn't be bothered - both rushed back to the small clique of young kids that you read about in other reviews. They clearly have no idea of the touches that make a place successful for attendees. Cover charge gets you a styrofoam bowl of pretzels and the opportunity to purchase expensive drinks. Nothing about this place was welcoming to newbies and we met other firt timers there who said it fell far short of their expectations. It seems that a lot of folks came in and left shortly thereafter. The parking lot was not secure with a lot of people just hanging out. We were amazed at the detailed process to "reserve" your spot at the party...nobody checked our name and truthfully anybody could walk in here. Disappointing is an understatement. We hung around for 2 hours waiting for something to happen and finally left - with a new appreciation for other places we have attended. If this place is in business a year from now, we'll be surprised.

Title: Grand Opening at the loft

Not sure if all these people were at the same party we were, but we had a great time! The couples there were sexy and on the younger side (we thought. We met alot of new people we don't normally see. We played in the back and I know our room was full (4 couples and a single girl) and very sexy. When we came out, my hubby made sure we checked out the other rooms and they were full too, so I dont' get why people are saying this is off premise? It is definately ON premise We had fun!

We don't drink and really think $100 is ok to have somewhere close to us like this. (it's $150 for one night at MV & Trap) 4-5 drinks per cpl out at a normal club is $100 so it seems fair to us.

Ware looking forward to the Pajama party and will definatley recommend this party to our friends and to people who read this.

We were at the Grand Opening and were extremely impressed with the quality of the place and the group that attended. This is a very upscale club and we can't wait to go back. We played in the back rooms and there were several other couples playing too. It's great to finally have a place closer to home so we don't have to drive to the east coast. We have been to Play Palace a couple times but the small crowd was a little bit older for us and we prefer on-premise. We checked out the Victorian Loft for the grand opening. Very nice decor but definately not on-premise like advertised. Basically the same crowd and not very friendly. I liked that it was non-smoking but a lot of the people spent more time out front smoking than inside and even in the rain. At $100 a night, I do not know if we will give it another try or not.

We have been to all the parties at the Victorian Loft. The venue is awesome, very classy! We had a great time at all 4 parties. I did not feel it was clickish at all. Everyone was very friendly and we met alot of great cpls. The parties rooms are set up for private play. If cpls want to shut the door they can if not they dont. We will attend more of these parties!! Thanks J&D, you are both great host and your helpers were also great.

Title: Loft Grand Opening

We made the drive down from Bradenton and can definitely say it was worth the trip! We are non-smokers and LOVE the fact that this place wont have you smelling bad at the end of a great night. I dont drink, but my better half does...she drank martini's all night long and enjoyed everyone of the them..our bartender was great...loved her tatts and spiky hair...very cute!

We also think that the atmosphere is like a big house party with 3 bedrooms in the back. We are new to the scene and felt comfortable here, we didnt get to play but we met some really nice people at the grand opening (with potential)...we are already talking about the pajama party...!! A little more variety in the music would be great. We'll be back.....

Playing was minimal if any. Very expensive to attend, I guess the $100 price tag for couples is to include booze, But we are non drinkers. The staff was friendly tho...

Thisclub is beautiful and is non- smoking which is great for us. Although the club says on- premise, that is misleading. Bascially, this is no more than a social venue for local swingers to talk and meet. Very cliquish as well. There are 3 small rooms in the back with a couple of mattresses on the floor. Once a couple of people go into a room and close the door thats it. No real play area nad nothing happens in the common area. Otherwise clean, well decorated and nice staff. This place reminds me of a HUGE house party. Very comfortable and sexy atmosphere. Especially the play rooms, very sexy. The Grand Opening party should be amazing!

We were at the party last night and have to disagree with the "bully" post. This place was absolutely gorgeous. What a great set up. It was a little light for a Friday night but we definatley are going back tonight and the Grand Opening! Thank you for bringing something with class near us!

we went to the new opening last night and will not return! GREAT! WE PREFER NOT TO BE AROUND NEGATIVE PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO ACT AT AN UPSCALE CLUB

the place was dead with only a couple people, IT WAS THURSDAY NIGHT AND THERE WERE 60 PEOPLE THERE. PRETTY GOOD FOR A THURSDAY NIGHT, AND SHORT NOTICE OF THIS PARTY, IT WAS A NICE SOCIAL FUN GROUP. WE REALLY ENJOYED OURSELVES!

watered down drinks and very unfriendly. PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU WERE BITCHING ABOUT THE DRINKS AND EVERYTHING ELSE. THE STAFF WERE GREAT AND FLIRTY WITH US AND DRINKS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE PRICE, IF IT WASN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU, ALL YOU HAD TO ASK WAS TO DRINK IT STRAIGHT!

it is not on-premise like advertised. YOU'RE CONTRADICTING YOURSELF IN YOUR NEXT SENTENCE:
you can only play in the back 3 rooms which had only a matress and a bright overhead light. there were no plastic covers on the matresses which is very unsanitary. I PLAYED IN THE PLAY ROOMS AND THERE WERE HUGE BRAND NEW TOWELS TO USE (IF YOU KNEW ETIQUETTE OF PLAYING IN ROOMS WITH TOWELS)AND IT OUR ROOM ONLY HAD A BIT OF LIGHT TO ACCENTUATE THE OTHERS IN THE ROOM WITH US.. AND THE BEDS WERE BRAND NEW. WE WERE THE FIRST TO BREAK THEM IN. BETTER THEN OTHER CLUBS WHERE THE SPRINGS ARE BREAKING THROUGH..LOL

it is non-smoking and since we smoke, there was not even a patio or place outside to accomodate. AWESOME FOR THE NON SMOKERS. THIS WAS THE FIRST PARTY I DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH GOING HOME SMELLING LIKE SMOKE AND SMELLING THE NASTY SMOKEY PEOPLE ALL NIGHT!!! DEFINATELY A PLUS+++ I WOULDN'T LET PEOPLE SMOKE IN MY HOME AND STINK UP MY FURNITURE, WHY WOULD YOU IN THIS UPSCALE PLACE. IF YOU PREFER THE DIRTY LOCAL DIVES WHERE THE TAR IS DRIPPING OFF THE WALLS,.. THEN GO THERE, PLEASE!

we left after about an hour of being bored. I CAN IMAGINE SINCE OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SOCIALIZE AND PROBABLY THE CLASS OF PEOPLE THERE DIDN'T MATCH YOUR CLASS.

You have got to be kidding. This place was absolutely gorgeous. High end furniture, upscale party and all inclusive. West coast finally has something to compare to the East coast clubs. I know the "kid" who wrote the response below (saw him at the party dressed like he was going to a local dive) and you know how competitive other parties are... Ask anyone who was there April 9 how beautiful this place was. Nothing compares to this place on the West Coast. Finally an upscale party place!
We'll be back again and again..

OBVIOUSLY the previous poster was at the WRONG PARTY! The New Victorian Loft is VERY UPSCALE and everyone had a GREAT time and LOVED the place. We do know for a fact that a competing (if you want to call it competition) venue was in attendance last night to check us out and of course they are going to talk trash about what they consider thier competition. NICE TRY but you won't be allowed back in the future.

Title: Seriously part deux!

After being totally disappointed about another SW FL club we decided to make the best of a crappy evening and motor over to the SW Play Palace. Although the venue was much better than the other "club" this place looked like a VFW that hired strippers from the local trailer park.

No smoking, cash bar, no play rooms, terrible sound system on an on... I will say the drinks were expensive but the bartender had mixing skills so it didn't take long to just try to salvage what was left of the night.
Of the sparse group that was present on a Satuday night, those that weren't so F'd up were overall nice. Everyone else stared at us like we had a third eye because we were from out of town.
Once people found out where we were from all they wanted to talk about was how good the clubs are on Florida's SE coast. I couldn't agree more, after spending a couple of hours in that dump no wonder everyone makes the trek East as often as possible.
Seriously is anyone from SDC actually going to these places before they get rated? How is it when the East S. FL clubs (who know what they are doing)get rated 4.5 stars and places like this get a four star rating? Without hesitation I can tell you don't bother wasting your time and money a total disappointment. We will never go back!

This is the most fun 2 be had in this town Bar None!!The Club is the bomb,and the afterparty is off the hook!!!! Those two really know how to party.Always new faces every week,and around 150 people to mingle and dance with too!

This place rocks! Some of the best, most friendly and fun people you'd ever want to meet. The atmosphere is pleasing, it is smoke free inside but a great outside pool area for smokers is just a step away. The music and lights are great, the DJ is second to none! There are always rooms available for play just a few steps away!! For a low cover you can get all the best the lifestyle has to offer in good old Fort Myers Florida.
