My wife and I went to the club on August 5th (Friday night). All I can say is the we HIGHLY recommend it!!! Especially for first timers! The place is immaculate, the staff is amazing, and the owners are awesome! From the second we walked in we felt welcomed. It was our first time and the girl at the front desk immediately put us at ease. Then the bartender inside offered a guided tour which the owner conducted. The DJ was the only negative and after talking to the owner, and the DJ, the music got better and people started to dance. It just got better from there! We ended up in the play room and had a blast! I do owe the playroom attendant and the manager an apology for my mistake at the end of the night though! All in all, we had the time of our lives and the club could not offer a higher recommendation! Go to Player SA, let loose, and have some fun. You won't regret it!

Title: Dress Code Casualty - A Cautionary Tale

We tried to visit Players from out of town, but were turned away. Mr. was wearing Mondo dress shorts, dress shirt, and Gravati black leather shoes. Mrs was rocking a short short skirt (ooops she forgot her panties), high heels, and revealing top.

Players manager said, making note Mr had some nice shoes, then kindly asked we go to Wal-Mart 15 minutes away and buy pants for the Mr - seems shorts didn't meet their dress code. While we get turned away, all manner of the street casual wear was admitted, off the street blue jeans (don't think Buckle, think about the pair you pull out to paint the house), tennis shoes, and any manner of casual wear was allowed entry (not to disparage crowd, saw some nicely dressed go in as well). I'd guess the purpose of any dress code, and only reason to enforce it, is to maintain a certain atmosphere, attract a specific crowd, and create a high quality party experience. So, by letting in any manner of street cloths and turning away those dressed for a party, we must surmise from that they are looking for a casual street cloths type of party.

We didn't get through the door, but don't recommend Players. I'd give them a pass if Mr was wearing cargo pants and tennis shoes, but since we dress to the nines to party, we've never had to check dress code. Lesson learned and so if you do go to Players then please remember to read the Players dress code or wear whatever you'd wear to paint your house, either will suffice.

Title: Friday Nite Meet and Greet

Had a really good time. Saw alot of beautiful people and enjoyed ourselves. If I could say anything about making it better, it would be to improve the music; didn't see a live DJ but a hot DJ and if not, then improved music choice/timing that builds through the night. Outside of that, really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Awesome! We had a blast (5/7/2011). Can't wait to go again. I highly recommend this club. I can't imagine anything out there that would be better. Also, all our worries were totally unfounded. It's what you make of it and there is no pressure whatsoever.

Went to players for corsette and heels night and was very pleased 30 April 2011. Club was dead until 11 or so, after 11 the crowd rolled in and by 1200 the play room was hopping. Very relaxed atmosphere. We are new to Players and felt comfortable with the mix of regulars and plenty of new couples. I highly suggest checking this club out no matter if you are brand new to the lifestyle or if you are a seasoned veteran.

We are a new coupel to the club and have only come out a couple of times...but everytime we have a blast in the play room! We are slow to warm up to I guess or just havent been around long enough to really make new friends just yet; but I have a feeling it wont take too long :)

The staff is freaking awesome! Gave us a tour of the whole place, explained the different areas in th playroom and instructions on how everything works...which was really helpful seeing how we are not only new to the club, but new to the lifestyle as well.

I think the music is a great mix seeing how you have such a wide range of age groups in the club. However the 80's porn could be updated :)

All in all we have had a great experience in our whole 2 visits and each week Im looking forward to our next visit to PC

We are new to the lifestyle, and after going to Player's, we do not regret a single choice we have made! Player's is tons of fun. The crowd is friendly and fun. You can tell who is a regular, and see the little cliques, but they're not ugly, rude or snobby. The entire staff is AMAZING & super nice. We still get a little shy when we first show up, being that we don't really know anyone (don't go often enough) but before we know it we have made friends. She ESPECIALLY loves the play room. Screw everything else, the playroom has won it for this woman! So far, so great. Not a single bad experience

We had a great time at the meet and greet at Players. The staff was perfect and the manager was very professional, handling a few rowdy couples that he escorted to the door when they had too much fun. NO DRAMA! We love this place.

I attended Players for the first time and had a great time. I could not believe how much fun it would be. The manager, Donnie, gave me a tour, introduced me to other couples, and checked on me to make sure my time there was a great one. I was surprised that some of the women would not let me play with their men but I am still learning. It was a good start and I will be back.

I can't talk enough about this place. To start, I did not know Players had moved. I had been out of the country for the last 10 months. My girlfriend and I went to the club to renew my single female membership and get her a single female membership and party only to learn that they had moved locations. The club occupying the old building, Prestige/Mystique, told me Players had closed and "they" were the new hottest club in town. After paying for new memberships, we learned from others in the club that Players had moved locations due to building owner problems. We went to the management, accused them of lying, and demanded a refund. They just laughed at us. When we arrived at the real Players club the manager, Donny, was very kind and gave us credit towards our new memberships. Apparently the other club has done this to other members not knowing Players had moved. I highly recommend avoiding club Prestige/Mystique! They lie and use underhanded means to get money from you. Players club will take care of you. They have a great staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we had a great time. Party at Players and don't go to the other club!

Players changed locations about 8 months ago to a better building. The layout is more conducive as a night club for dancing as well as playing. The dance floor is center club and the bar is long and accommodating. There is a stage, one large 16 foot dance pole, as well as two smaller poles. The club has a pool table back by the DJ booth. There are tables and chairs or couches to sit at whatever your choice. The club has four VIP Dens to rent for private parties. The Playroom is remarkable with several areas including padded button-tucked semi-private rooms that are large enough for three couples. It has a group room for six to nine couple parties. There is an exhibitionist/voyeur room that easily handles 12 couples. It has an area with hydraulic "position" chairs, swing, and an eight foot sex bean bag. There is also a room with a Sybian saddle vibrator for everyone's enjoyment. There are lockers in the Playroom area. The club sports a Boutique at the front of the club with a little of everything needed for club wear. We like the fact that new members are welcomed and are given tours of the club by many of its current members, not just by the management. The club also provides courtesy valet parking. Nothing beats driving up to the front door and being able to walk right in while your vehicle is being parked for you. It is a nice "Bennie". The club is open on Thursdays (singles night), Fridays, and Saturdays. We will visit this club again!

Title: Players at their new location

While in San Antonio for business, we visited Players recently at their new location. It has been a year for us since our last outing and we must admit things have improved. The new club has a much better feel to it. The dance floor is decently sized with a stage and dance poll next to it for easy access. The layout presents a central setting with elevated areas to the rear so that everyone can see the whole club. The sound system is setup so the music does not overwhelm couples having conversations at the tables. We especially liked the boutique that Players had with outfits for their special events. Since my wife and I did not know of the special event, we did not dress accordingly. It was convenient to be able to purchase something right there and be part of the evening's theme. We also believe that the playroom was marvelous! The manager explained that they took the ideas from their members and built a playroom that has something for everyone. The staff were top notch and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and answer any questions we had. The people were very friendly and it wasn't too long till we had made new friends. We will definitely be telling our friends in Pennsylvania not to miss a chance to visit Players in San Antonio, Texas.

Title: They do it right

The club has been at its new location for a few months. It's a little smaller, but much better laid out. The picture you see now is out of date. Fix it please!!

The new playroom has to be seen to be believed. They've dispensed with their silly locker room BS where you first had to remove all your clothes before entering the play area. Now you just show up and play.

The all-volunteer staff is friendly and fun. (Please tip them fat and tip them often -- they deserve it. And no, I'm not one of them. lol)

The crowd is very hot and loves to dance the night away. I'd say 80% of the crowd is 30 to 50. A few younger and older. Dress nicely and bring a friendly disposition and you will not be disappointed. Get up and meet people. They are there to meet you too. lol

I've heard from some people that Player's is too expensive and that the crowd is a intimidating. All I can say is "too each their own." No club can be all things to all people. That being said, it fits us to a T.

Last thing... My wife and I are not clean freaks, but we are picky about where we're going to be naked; Player's has never been a cause for concern. Clean towels, toy sanitizer, condoms and lube are always available.

The place is awesome, people are freindly, staff is polite and helpful. The folks that go there are a mix of 20,30,40,50ish age groups. But they are ALL friendly, no noe is pushy and everyone has a great time. The music list is ok, could be better, they do mix it up and play, hip-hop, latin, country, and some other 80's favorites. All that is good, just the selection needs to be improved.

Have visited other clubs in Europe and must admit that this one has much to offer. A decent sized dance floor with several dance poles, a shadow box (just barely big enough for two), a dance cage, two pool tables, a dart board, and an electronic one-armed bandit. The management and staff are very friendly and try to make folks feel welcome. There seem to be numerous "regulars" who party together but when we approached them they greeted us and made us feel welcome. We saw several other "new" couples that just sat at their tables playing the "shy" card who said the regulars seemed clique-ish. We felt differently. There is a play area with amenities that appears to handle up to 60 people at a time. Use is included in the door fee as well as the mixers. There are several areas that can be reserved/rented for private parties for additional fees. We met several great couples and have utilized both the "Green Room" and the dens and had a wonderful time. There are numerous coaches throughout the club for the "soft" encounters as well. The club's appearance was clean and inviting. As we said, its nice.

This was the first swingers club me and my wife attended this past summer. It has a large dance floor and is kept clean. The crowd did have it's cliques and the draw back is that one of them always get the tables next to the dance floor and half of them stand, so if your sitting behind them all you see is the backs of heads, instead of the action on the dance floor. We are an attractive couple and made friends there with others that were not in "The In Crowd". We would attend again but will consider taking friends with us.

We visited players club for the first time this weekend. We went for the two night deal so we could experience the club both friday and saturday nights..:) We happen to be there for the 11 year anniversary. It was awesome everyone was super friendly, very fun and sexy. We met so many people we can't remember all their names!! We belong to other clubs across the country but this is truly one of the best we've been to, because of the great people there. If you get a chance to meet Don and Linda you'll truly enjoy it, we also became members this weekend and Highly encourage you to try this club out! All levels of comfort are respected!

Went to players this weekend since we have moved to Dallas and they wouldnt let us enter unless we paid the renewal fee, instead of the regular 1 night fee 100 vs 40 since it was an SDC meet and greet. The door lady is a rude B and we have been going to players before they even opened the new location.....WE WILL NEVER RETURN!!! PS the guests have also gotten older, fatter and trashier! Such a shame to lose such loyal club goers....NEVER TO BE SEEN THERE AGAIN.

The concept is... the more you pay, the better position you have in the club for both seating & perks. When first opened at this new location, you could sit anywhere & there was a large non smoking area & a great mezzanine with padded banquettes & group tables XXX-cozy :-) plus a see-thru glass room to watch & be watched...cool! Now you have to pay $1800 couple/yr to sit in these areas, & the glass room became an extra cost private room. Unknowingly, the first time we went to this mezzanine, a patron who 'pays' called a rude bouncer & we were told we couldn't sit there for our $50/night cover.
It used to be a 9, but they've gotten rude & cheap.
Like anything else, clubs change over clientele to keep afloat. They at least rate a 4 because they are the only game in town. :-(

We were in Sana Antonio for the weekend recently and made a trip to the Players Club. This was our first visit to this type of club and we were excited to check it out. We are probably spoiled for life, because we had so much fun. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at ease. I did not see any cliquish groups. We had no trouble talking to people once we got out on the dance floor and showed our fun side. Only downside is it is a 3 hour plane ride from home. we were there for the halloween party. the clique action is sooooo ridiculous that we mainly sat and talked to each other allll night. neither of us have ever had problems making friends...but on this night, NOONE wanted to see us make friends. anytime we started talking to someone, it seemed like someone they knew would come drag them away. it all seemed so intentional. like the folks were all jealous of newcomers. my husband and i are attractive and present ourselves well...and we have NEVER lacked attention in the lifestyle club department, until this night.

the party was definitely wild. irregardless of not being 'welcomed' into any groups, we still had a great time watching the village idiots. the people at this club are by far the hottest in the state of texas! (even if they are a bit snooty)

we are not locals, and we will probably go back when in San Antonio, simply because we prefer to be around those with the same interests as ours. we will return not because of the lure of the club or its patrons, but out of dedication to the lifestyle and supporting those who support the lifestyle.

My wife and I are new to the life and have been to the club about 4 times. This is the only club of this sort we have ever been to. It is a bit cliquish. We are both very attractive and fit so I was surprised by the lack of attention we have gotten. Except for the few times I went to the rest room only to find some dude chating up my wife. I dont mind it and no one has ever been rude, but don't wait untill I go piss to do it. Overall I would say we like going to the place. The rules about not grabing or touching people apparently only applies to the men as Ive been groped by women their several times. Not that I care just that duouble standard thing. The owners are very nice, most of the people their are average to great looking, however their are some well below average. I would say the average age is in the 30's to 40's. The music is not so loud you cant hear the person next to you talking. The only real down side is it seems most everyone knows each other but they dont really make a effort get to know new people. The owners are trying to improve this, whith parties, contest ect... I feel they are putting in a good effort to make everyone more comfortable, the owners that is.

We have been members for three years and go twice a month. SDC nights are always standing room only and is the best night for new couples to give it a try. I have read the reviews below and I will tell you that if you are an attractive couple, you will not have any trouble finding people that want to talk to you. If you have never been to this type of place, give it a try, it is not what you might think. The people that you meet there are just like you.

We were visiting San Antonio for the weekend from Fort Worth. We've been to all the lifestyle clubs in the DFW area. Players is very nice. We enjoyed the music, the large dance floor and the whole atmosphere. We also REALLY liked the non-smoking areas. There are cliques at every lifestyle club but we felt welcome by all the friendly people. We will visit Players again when we're in town.

We have been to this fun club about 5 times during the last year and have always had a wonderful time. The crowd is very attractiv and friendly. They play a good variety of music and the dance floor is spacious and well lit. It's also very nice that there's a no smoking section. We have always been treated with respect and met many friendly people there. It's a great place to meet like minded people and very much worth checking out!!!

Nice club but way too cliquish. There is a large group of regulars who are reluctant to let others in their cliq unless they meet their standards. We've met way more people online than we have here. Our membership has expired and we do not plan to renew it.

We have just been busy due to hubby's new job in which he travels a lot and children. So weekends are really family time now until things settle down some more.

We are members or players going on 4 yrs. For those that have not been in at least two yrs we have a brand new club in a new location. It's bigger and better than ever. The people are friendlier and the music is way better. All the DJ's are married and in the lifestyle since this was a problem with one post. You would be crazy not to visit this club sometime in the near future. Our SDC nights are very HOT and standing room only so get there early. If you are looking for the premiere club in south texas this is it. Don't wast time with the rest come party with the best. T-n-T

We have been members at Player's for over two years. We enjoy the scene there. While there are cliques present, most of the people are genuine and friendly. As with most upscale lifestyle clubs, I assume, it takes awhile to fit in and build trust. The people at Player's are, at least respectful and, unlike other clubs in the area we have been to, the men are not hitting on the females as soon as her husband\partner's back is turned. We plan to remain member's indefinately.

We have been to this club quite a few times and have always had a ball there. Its nice that they have a no smoking section and the dancefloor is great. We have heard that the place is a little "clickish" but we have always been treated very well here. Nice place and a very attractive crowd. Worth your while to go check out for sure!!

My wife and I have been four times so far and will probably NEVER go back. The DJ is a single non-LifeStyle jerk that apparently has free rein from the owner's husband (Tom) to do and say what he wants. The people are beautiful, lots of fun and only slightly "cliqueish". Lots of theme parties and hotel parties after hours. So-so music as requests usually come with a "price". The dance floor is hot and again, so are the people.

This place is AWSUME! The theme noghts are the best. and everyone gets into it. The hostest are always there to help you have agood time. My wife at the time and I were invited to Players by a couple we met that were members and so we went. We had both been to a few other clubs in the State, both on and off premises, in Houston and in Austin. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendly atmosphere and the way even those that were obviosly "regulars" went out of their way to make us feel welcome. My wife enjoyed dancing with not only our hosts, but with several others as well and though Players' IS an off-premise club..lets just say the heat was plenty hot by the end of the night. We went ahead and purchaced a membership that evening.. Super Club, super people, You couldn't ask for a more positive experience.
