Aphrodites formerly Anchovies was founded with a very specific goal in mind. To wake-up your relationship. Lets explore this somewhat abstract comment. Once we find ourselves in a relationship we soon find out that it is a great feeling to share our fun times with that someone we love and care for. Later as our relationships evolve into marriage, having a family and building a career, sometimes two careers, we also realize that the pressures become larger and more demanding upon each of us. Whereas fun times become something more and more elusive for us as a couple!
The setting for disaster! Two people that started their journey together, life has somehow parted. Different lives going in different directions. Then each comes home to face the reality of family demands, financial demands, social demands, dishes, laundry (the list is endless). There is therefore little or no patience left to deal fairly with the one person that you love, count on, and trust; your spouse / partner. Whatever he or she may be to you.
Life by itself is huge. Not everyone can control it. More often than not we become victims of the momentum of life and all its challenges. Have you ever said the words, whether aloud or to yourself, "Can it possibly get worse than this?" or, "Why does it always have to happen to me (or us)?" We all become weary at times, but when we are in a strong relationship we seem able to rejuvenate collectively and derive whatever strength needed to overcome the challenges we are facing. Facing and overcoming challenges together is the very exercise that lends an important hand to a lasting and truly rewarding relationship.
When you first hear of Aphrodites you might be intrigued, but you are not exactly sure what it is. Your Anchovies experience begins when you first ponder what you have heard or read. Try to imagine what might happen or what you might see. Before you and your significant other experience your first visit, neither one of you knows what to expect. So, whatever your experience at Anchovies becomes, you share it together for the first time. You are nervous together. You reflect together. You become very turned on together! Elements of surprise, eroticism, sound, lights, and magic (sometimes compared to the feelings of infatuation in a new relationship) all contribute to an experience like no other. A - Yes, Men should wear dress slacks & dress shirt.
Ladies should dress equally as nice, but may dress as sexy

Q When is Aphrodites open?
A - The club is open EVERY Friday and Saturday evening starting at 9 PM.
Q Is there a membership fee?
A - Yes, Annual Membership is $50 for couples, and $25 for single ladies. VIP Memberships are also available. See the Membership page for more details.
Q We live out of town or We want to check the club out before joining. Do we really have to pay the membership fee?
A - Yes, Aphrodites is a members only club. You are required to pay the membership fee. No exceptions. BUT, cover charge is only $10 on your first visit, or membership renewal.
Q What does the VIP Full Service Upgrade offer?
A - The VIP upgrade offers the following additional benefits:
Seating area elevated above the main floor
Wait staff at your table
A limited number of high top tables
An extra level of privacy/seclusion!
It's definitely worth the extra $20!!!
Q What's the age range of people at the club? or We're X years old and wondering if we'll fit in?
A - The age of attendees ranges from 20's to 50's, and probably even higher. The average age is probably in the low or mid 30's. One thing is for certain. Your age doesn't matter. It's your frame of mind that counts for everything. Come prepared to let your hair down and you'll fit right in. We've never heard anyone feel out of place due to age!
Q Is there an age restriction?
A - Yes! You must be at least 21 to be a member of Anchovies.
Q Are single males allowed?
A - No unescorted males! Single males are only allowed when accompanying a current member. Even then, the behavior of escorted males is the responsibility of the member. Single males must sit with their host, and may not approach others unless invited. Membership fees (required) and cover is the same as for a couple.
Q How do we make reservations?
A - You may make a reservation online by going to the on-line reservation system, or call (512) 928-9876. Give your first names (His & Hers), reservation date, seating preference, how many in your party, and a valid phone number.
Q Does Aphrodites sell alcohol?
A - No, Aphrodites is BYOB! You may bring your own adult beverages. We also provide drink setups (glasses, ice, soft drinks, juices). Ice buckets are available to keep your drinks cold. You may also bring a small cooler if you wish. For our out of state guests, please keep in mind that the liquor stores close at 9 PM. Here is a link to the closest liquor stores. Beer is available at the convenience stores at the corner of Highway 290 and Springdale Rd. Beer and wine is available at the HEB 1/2 mile away.
Q Are there any other clubs like Aphrodites?
A - No! We are forging new trails in the club industry.
Q Can I speak with someone on the phone?
A - Yes! The phones are answered on Friday and Saturday nights. At other times, please leave a message and we will call you back.
Q We're from out of town. Can you recommend a place to stay?
A - We recommend the Four Points by Sheraton or Red Lion, both of which are close to the club. See the links on the Useful Links page.
Q Where's a good place to shop for Aphrodites apparel?

Q Is Aphrodites an "On Premise" or "Off Premise" club?
A - Aphrodites is an "Off Premise" club. However, it's a great place to meet others with similar tastes!
Q Does Aphrodites have a coat check?
A - Aphrodites doesn't have a formal coat check. But you can leave your outer garments at the front desk.
Q Is smoking allowed?
A - Smoking is permitted in the left portion of the club. Cigar and pipe smoking is not allowed. Please respect the non-smoking patrons by not smoking in the non-smoking section.
Q Are group discounts available?
A - Yes, absolutely! Please contact Aphrodites Management to work out specific details. We've had groups for birthday and anniversary parties, groups oriented around a theme, etc.
Q I paid my annual membership but didn't get my membership card. What do I do now?
A - Pick up your membership card on your next visit. We don't send them in the mail. You'll need your membership number to sign up for the private Aphrodites MSN Community.
Q What is the parking situation?
A - Aphrodites offers curbside Valet service. (This is a contract service and not included in the cover charge.) In addition, there is plenty of street parking. Please be careful not to park in the lots of other businesses, or block any curb cuts or dumpsters.
